The Mirror
This is not a catalogue, and it is not the whole story. These are the photographs I let leave the house: what they show is real, and what they keep back is the reason to write.
A mirror shows exactly as much
as you stand in front of it.
Between the plates
What is deliberately missing from this room is the point of it. The rest stays where it happened.
Every plate is me. Nothing borrowed, nothing invented, and only the metadata removed. I chose these for atmosphere and for privacy, mine first and one day yours. A photograph that suggests has done its work; a photograph that states has ended the conversation before it began.
Twenty plates, one rule: enough to know the atmosphere. The whole story stays with me. Click any plate to view it larger.
If the atmosphere suits you
The rest is not photographed.
Write with a date, the hours you have in mind and a line about yourself, and find out what the plates leave out.
The mirror flatters no one. I simply photograph well.
